The application date has passed. Can I still apply?

As long as the program has not been filled, we welcome applications at any time before the end of the school year.

 

are there any extra fees?

A Foster Dreamz Scholarship entitles a selected child to one school year's worth of weekly classes in a designated extra-curricular activity. As such, Term Fees are covered. However, any extra fees - for example, concert tickets, uniform expenditures, costume fees, equipment expenditures, etc. - are not covered by the scholarship. Any further support is at the discretion of each Activity Partner and location.

 

Who is eligible to apply?

We accept applications from children in Out-Of-Home Care. Children in Foster Care - Short term and Long term, Permanent Care, Kinship Care and Residential Care are eligible to apply for our programs and scholarships.

What activities are available?

​

We currently only offer activities run by our Activity Partners - Roller Derby, Swimming, Gymnastics and Auskick.

When do activities run?

Generally, activities run on a weekly basis during the school terms. Please note, dates may vary depending on each Activity Provider and Location and are subject to availability.

Roller Derby runs on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 - 6:30pm.

​

Strathcona Swim School runs on weekdays after school and on Saturdays.

What is the age range for programs?

Please note that age ranges vary between each Activity Provider and Location. The age ranges provided are gauges. Please contact us to learn more about a specific centre.

Roller Derby - 8 years to 14 years

Swimming -  3 years to 18 years

Auskick - 5 years to 12 years. If your child falls in the 12 years to 18 years age range, please enquire with us.

Gymnastics - 6 months to 18 years

My Application won't submit. What should I do?

Make sure you have filled every field and ticked every box (with the exception of supported documents which is optional) otherwise your application will not submit. If you've done that and it is still not working, it may be an issue with your browser. The website builder that Foster Dreamz uses has certain supported browsers. To find them click here.
